ABOUT THE DRAMA
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare is a drama the important of love in marriage union. The drama saw two opposing cultures; the courtship born out of two people in love and the courtship born out of fixed union.

The matchmaking between Demetrius and Hermia didn't work because there was lack of love between both_ Hermia's heart belonged to Lysander and she was not ready to settle for anything less. Helena's loving affection for Demetrius was futile at first because Demetrius had no love attraction for her; until the intervention of the fairies (Oberon and Puck) who charmed Demetrius with love-in-idleness juice.

The two contrasting marital aspect of the drama has to do with Lysander and Hermia falling in love with each other as opposed to Hermia being asked by Egeus to marry Demetrius.
